Sarie Wu is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who believes meaningful growth begins within a safe, collaborative, and authentic therapeutic relationship. She is committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful change.
Sarie earned her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University in 2025. As a first-generation American and the daughter of immigrants from two distinct cultural backgrounds, she understands the complexities of balancing multiple identities, navigating family and cultural expectations, and discovering one's own sense of self. These experiences have fostered a deep appreciation for the unique stories, strengths, and perspectives each client brings into the therapy room.
In addition to her personal experiences, Sarie has lived and traveled extensively throughout China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Immersion in diverse cultures broadened her understanding of identity, relationships, and the many ways people find meaning and connection. These experiences continue to inform her culturally responsive and affirming approach to therapy.
Sarie works with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, stress, and personal growth. Her therapeutic style is warm, curious, and collaborative, integrating person-centered therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and other evidence-informed approaches tailored to each client's individual needs and goals.
Sarie believes that curiosity is one of the most powerful tools for healing. Rather than focusing on judgment or criticism, she works alongside clients to better understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped their lives while identifying practical strategies to foster resilience, self-compassion, and lasting change.
Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, seeking greater self-understanding, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, Sarie is committed to helping you feel empowered to move forward with confidence and authenticity. She would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and well-being.
