BCMH GROUPS

The following groups are offered on an ongoing basis at BCMH.  All groups are $30 per session. Email kniehaus@beachcitiesmh.org if you are interested in joining a group. 

Parenting Group

This group will work with parents of children of different ages to help them gain different approaches to addressing the adventures of parenting.  This group will explore  the different parenting approaches and apply different parenting strategies to help parents.

This group meets every Thursday from 5pm to 6pm virtually or in-person

Trans Peer

Support  Group

This group is for adolescents between the age of 12 to 19 to explore different topics around their identity as a Trans member of the world.



This group meets every Monday from 5pm to 6pm virtually or in-person

Drug & Alcohol Recovery  Group

This group focuses on a non-12 step approach to drug and alcohol recovery. The group helps members manage their recovery through learning to manage their triggers and how they respond to them. The group meets both virtually and in-person. The group is co-ed for adults over the age of 18.

Adult Social Group

The group helps clients learn how to improve their interpersonal skills and how they relate/attach to new people. The group is excellent for people looking to connect and socialize with others.

LGBTQA+ Support Group​

The LGBTQA+ group is open to all adults within the community and allies of the community.  The group discusses challenges and triggers typically faced within the community.

Career Social & Development Group 

This group is perfect for people seeking to change their careers. The group, led by Kevin Niehaus, helps clients explore different stressors associated with exploring new career ventures.  The group follows a combination of career coaching and counseling to take the steps you desire.

Men's Social & Development Group

This group will explore different topics related to being male. This group will explore different types of intimacy, building siold relationships, and other social issues related to being men in the modern world.

Fertility & Adoption Support Group 

This group is for people exploring expanding their families through the adoption, fertility, and/or surrogacy process.  These processes are often stressful and filled with different emotions. The group will supply members with support and process of their experiences

This group meets every Friday from 5pm to 6pm virtually or in-person


Caregiver Group

This group will explore different topics related to being a caregiver. This group will explore various topics that will cover managing emotional stress, self-care,  processing anger /sadness, and other related topics.

Wednesdays at 5pm

ADHD Skills Group 

This group is for people managing ADHD in the modern world. The group will help participants learn new skills to manage their symptoms, how ADHD impacts their relationships, learn more about life with ADHD, and other interactions in their world. 

Saturdays - In person
