Practicum Placement
BCMH offers paid ($20-25 per session) practicum placements. Students can expect about ten to twelve hours per week. This includes direct clinical hours and supervision. The clinical experience will include a combination of group and individual/couples/family counseling. Supervision will focus on helping the students blossom into their clinical selves. BCMH accepts rolling applications for placement but requires a commitment of at least 6 to 12 months.

Intended start/end dates
Please note that while we accept resumes on a rolling basis, we follow the following schedule for hiring and interviews:
For a January/Winter Term start, applications are reviewed between October and early December.
For a Spring or April/May Start, applications are reviewed between February and March.
For a Summer or June-to-August start, applications are reviewed in May to Early June.
For a Fall or Late August to October start, applications are reviewed between July and August, depending on the intended start.

Associate MFT/PCC
Associate – AMFT, APCC, ACSW
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Beach Cities Mental Health is a growing nonprofit practice serving clients throughout California. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals willing to learn and provide the skills necessary for success for themselves and the company.
We are a low-sliding scale practice that focuses on removing barriers to mental health treatment. We'll be able to help you with marketing and referrals to help build your caseload. Supervision will be provided.
This role is for someone excited to work with diverse populations and grow skills in various modalities and practices. Additionally, this role is ideal for someone wanting to learn the ropes of managing a private practice, nonprofit, or other venture. This role is a hybrid one, and both virtual and in-person work will be required.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
Provide effective psychotherapeutic treatment for clients.
The candidate will maintain quality clinical documentation of sessions.
The caseload will grow over six months, with an expected caseload of 10 - 20 weekly sessions. The individual(s) will be able to create their schedule (other than assigned supervision times with the supervisor)
You must manage your weekly schedule with clients, which provides flexibility for both the client and therapist.
Participates in weekly clinical supervision with the clinical supervisor.
Ability to quickly develop client trust and rapport.
Interest in being part of a collaborative, holistic team with a startup culture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, or similar.
Must be a registered associate with CA State Board of Behavioral Science as A-MFT, A-CSW or A-PCC
Must have excellent communication, collaboration, and punctuality.
Ability and interest in providing therapy that integrates with the client’s primary care team.
Ability to use computerized schedules for client management, internal communications, and fee collection.
Must have proof of professional liability insurance.
Active California BBS Registration (Required)
