Hello, my name is Robert. Thank you for reviewing my profile. Here is a little about my practice.
Life can shift in ways we never expected. A relationship changes. A loss reshapes us. Anxiety or depression begins to take up more space than we’d like. Sometimes it’s not one event, but a quiet sense that something feels off — that you’re disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are becoming.
My work is rooted in existential and psychodynamic perspectives, meaning we explore not just symptoms, but the deeper layers of your story — your patterns, relationships, identity, and sense of meaning. I also incorporate narrative work, helping you untangle and re-author the parts of your story that may feel stuck or unfinished. Therapy with me is collaborative and reflective. We slow down, make space for genuine emotion, and approach your inner world with curiosity rather than judgment.
I work with individuals and couples navigating communication struggles, emotional distance, conflict, life transitions, grief, and questions about purpose. I welcome young adults and have a particular interest in working with men who are learning to explore vulnerability, identity, and emotional depth in ways that may not have been modeled before. My practice is inclusive and affirming of people of all genders, identities, and relationship structures.
Clients often come to me with concerns related to depression, anxiety, relational tension, stress, anger, identity exploration, or a broader search for meaning. Whatever brings you in — whether you feel lost, ready for change, or somewhere in between — my role is to offer a steady, grounded space where you can show up honestly.
If you’re willing to look inward with courage and openness, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Under the supervision of Kevin Niehaus, PsyD, LPCC – Beach Cities Mental Health.
