Belen Guillen
Belen Guillen, Professional Clinical Counselor
My name is Belen (she/her), I am a first-generation queer Mexican woman who aims to promote empowerment within my clients, to explore what they are facing, and move towards their goals. As a solution-focused therapist, I believe in using a holistic approach to therapy, where various evidence-based techniques can be implemented to fit the client’s needs. I work with a diverse client load consisting of people of color, queer, and neurodivergent presentations. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, children, and families.
I use a collaborative and compassionate style to help guide you as you asses your different problems and situations. Then, we can work through your challenges together. I aim to create a warm environment that encourages growth and self-reflection. Cultural humility is vital for understanding and empowering clients from all backgrounds to achieve this goal.
Currently under the supervision of Kevin Niehaus, PsyD, LPCC at Beach Cities Mental Health.
