Hello, I'm Dani! I believe therapy is a collaborative process that empowers individuals to explore their experiences, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful change. My goal is to support you in developing a narrative that honors your lived experiences while expanding opportunities for growth, resilience, and empowerment.
My work is grounded in the understanding that social, cultural, and systemic factors significantly influence our mental health, relationships, and ability to navigate life's challenges. While these external forces can shape our experiences, I also believe that each person possesses inherent strengths and the capacity for healing. Together, we can identify and build upon those strengths, even when they may feel difficult to access.
My therapeutic approach is informed by liberation psychology, feminist theory, and queer-affirming practices. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is compassionate, collaborative, and authentic, where empathy, curiosity, and appropriate humor foster a sense of safety and connection. My hope is that you feel seen, heard, and accepted as your whole self as we work together to better understand your experiences and the patterns that may keep you feeling stuck.
Together, we will cultivate greater insight, strengthen your sense of agency, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth. My commitment is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values and goals.
I practice under the supervision of Kevin Niehaus, PsyD, LPCC – Beach Cities Mental Health.
